Study Guide for August 26, 2018--Lesson & Discussion
"The Lord wants us to accept ministering from others.”
Why are we hesitant to accept help from others?
How does our willingness to accept help from others bless those who serve us?
Please read 1 Corinthians 12:13-21. What does it suggest about why we need each other?
Read “We Can’t Do it Alone” – Robert D. Hales – October 1975 General Conference
Think of an experience that you might have had when you needed to accept help and were hesitant to do so.
- How did it make you feel?
- What made you finally accept help?
- What blessings did you receive?
- What blessings do you think they received?
Have a great week!

RS Challenge for Week of August 19, 2018
As a Relief Society, we came up with our weekly challenge together on Sunday afternoon. This challenge was based on our RS Lesson "Even as Christ Forgives You, So Also Do Ye", by Elder Larry Echo Hawk. I am sharing that with you below, as well as the ideas that the sisters came up with as we worked on creating it.
Challenge: This week I can start the day with a forgiving spirit.
Ideas:
Let it Go.
Pray for help to forgive.
Send time recognizing what we may be harboring.
Start small.
Practice.
Realize that we all make mistakes.
Forgive ourselves.
Seek comfort from the Lord.
Give it up to Him.
Use His Atonement as a healing power.
Recognize agency.
Clarify meanings.
We can't wait to see what you notice this week as you work on this challenge. Have a wonderful week!

Meekness
"Meekness is strong, not weak; active, not passive; courageous, not timid; restrained, not excessive; modest, not self-aggrandizing; and gracious, not brash." ~David A. Bednar

Am I Good Enough?
If you will really try and will not rationalize or rebel—repenting often and pleading for grace—you positively are going to be “good enough.”

"Meek and Lowly of Heart” By Elder David A. Bednar
Elder Bednar gives 3 examples in his
talk:
- The Rich Young Man and Amulek--What do you think explains the difference between the responses of the rich young man and Amulek?
- Pahoran--What do you think explains Pahoran’s measured reply to Moroni’s accusations?
- President Russell M. Nelson and President Henry B. Eyring--What do you think explains the immediate and heartfelt responses to President Monson’s invitation by these two leaders of the Lord’s Church?
Meekness is_______________________________________________________________________________.
Meekness is
NOT___________________________________________________________________________.
What is the difference between humility
and meekness?
How can we obtain the Christlike attribute of meekness
and be more like the Savior?
What blessings can we obtain by becoming meek?
