“What does it mean to minister? There are many ways we can minister to others. ”
Teacher: Cathy Pratt
“Love one another; as I have loved you. … By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said: “We have a heaven-sent opportunity as an entire Church to demonstrate “pure religion … undefiled before God”—“to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light” and to “comfort those that stand in need of comfort,” to minister to the widows and the fatherless, the married and the single, the strong and the distraught, the downtrodden and the robust, the happy and the sad—in short, all of us, every one of us, because we all need to feel the warm hand of friendship and hear the firm declaration of faith. “
“In spite of what we all feel are our limitations and inadequacies—and we all have challenges—nevertheless, may we labor side by side with the Lord of the vineyard, giving the God and Father of us all a helping hand with His staggering task of answering prayers, providing comfort, drying tears, and strengthening feeble knees. If we will do that, we will be more like the true disciples of Christ we are meant to be.”
Weekly Challenge: Find a way to minister to another sister this week and next week.

"That Your Joy Might Be Full"
by Sister Jean B. Bingham
Discussion Leader: Barbara Janke
“Jesus Christ is the source of all healing, peace, and eternal progress. ”
“We have all asked at times: “Where can I turn for peace? Where is my solace … ?” We wonder, how do I find joy despite the difficulties of mortal life?
The answer may seem too simple, but it has proven true from the days of Adam. Lasting joy is found in focusing on our Savior, Jesus Christ, and living the gospel as demonstrated and taught by Him.”
As you study Christ’s life and teachings in a myriad of ways, your faith in Him will increase. You will come to know that He loves you individually and understands you perfectly.
Jesus Christ is also the source of peace. He invites us to “lean on [His] ample arm” and promises the “peace … which passeth all understanding,” a feeling that comes when His Spirit “speak[s] peace to our souls” no matter what challenges surround us.
As we learn more about Jesus Christ, we develop greater faith in Him and we naturally want to follow His example. Come unto Him. I testify that as you center your life on Jesus Christ, you will find joy in your circumstances, whatever they may be.
Weekly Challenge: Make time this week to study the attributes of the Savior. Choose one to begin working on so you can be more like Him.
